ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN'S HEALING TREES

The trauma a child endures after experiencing abuse is devastating for the child as well as his or her family. It is our mission to provide hope and healing to each child that walks through our doors and help child abuse survivors rebuild their lives. Our clinical therapists walk alongside children and families in this journey of healing to provide support, mitigate trauma and restore hope.

The Healing Tree is a symbol of hope, of growth, a symbol of unity and healing.

As a child and therapist work together each week to focus on healing and processing the child’s trauma, a new seed of hope is planted during each session. When successfully completing counseling services, a child will then prepare to bloom into a new season full of new coping skills and immense growth. A child’s graduation from our counseling program is a joyous occasion at Alliance For Children. It is a time for family and the staff who have joined this journey to recognize and celebrate a child’s hard work and dedication to their own healing.

If you visit any of our counseling centers, you will find a Healing Tree that is a representation of resilience and hope. Child abuse survivors who complete counseling services at Alliance For Children will place their unique handprint or fingerprint on the branches of the tree as a way to leave a piece of their healing story and incredible journey with us. Survivors leave their mark for a new child beginning their healing with us, as a symbol that they are not alone. The Healing Tree is a symbol of hope, of growth, a symbol of unity and healing. We at Alliance For Children are incredibly honored to be part of this journey for each child that comes through our doors.
