I need to be blunt with you, John: Reproductive rights are at risk like never before.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court will hear a case seeking to overturn abortion protections in Mississippi that have been in place for decades—a case that directly threatens Roe v. Wade.

With the new Trump-appointed justices, right-wing extremists know they’ve never had a better shot at overturning Roe. So they’re introducing hundreds of restrictive anti-choice bills across the country—all as part of their sinister strategy to get these archaic laws challenged before the Supreme Court and strike down Roe in the process. And Wednesday’s case proves their strategy is working.

This is why we must defend Senate control at all costs. In the face of a conservative Supreme Court majority, our Democratic Senate is the last line of defense against the GOP’s dangerous crusade against reproductive rights, so letting control fall into the hands of Mitch McConnell is simply not an option.
