In 2016, my friend (and New Hampshire neighbor) Senator Maggie Hassan was elected by 1,017 votes. It was one of the closest races in New England history.

My first two races were each decided by only a few thousand votes, so I know how important early support is for vulnerable incumbents, like Senator Hassan who is up for reelection in 2022.

The stakes are high. Democrats are only holding onto a Senate majority by the thinnest of margins. Already, Mitch McConnell and his dark money allies have started flooding New Hampshire with millions in vicious attack ads.

To put it plainly, they're going to continue to do everything in their power to try to turn this seat red -- and the whole Senate with it. We simply can't let that happen.

Before the official end-of-month deadline tomorrow at midnight, will you contribute toward Senator Hassan’s reelection campaign, so we can keep the Senate blue and continue fighting for progress?

I likely don't have to remind you how high the stakes are for our country at this moment in history. With Roe v. Wade increasingly at risk, a worsening climate crisis, and an economy still reeling from an ongoing pandemic, we simply must maintain control of the Senate.

Since President Biden took office, we've only begun to undo the harm wrought by the Trump administration and his enablers in a Republican-controlled Senate. And to be frank, we continue to be fighting an uphill battle against a minority party that has double downed on their commitment to destructive obstructionism.

We have so much more to do for the American people, and we can only do it if we keep Senator Hassan's seat blue. In 2020, both chambers of New Hampshire's state legislature flipped red. We can't let Senator Hassan's seat be next -- we have to act now.

I fought hard to help Senator Hassan win in 2016, and I am going to do the same to help her win in 2022. Together, let's make sure Maggie's campaign is strong enough to withstand the onslaught the Republican Party is already throwing at it. Please, before tomorrow night's end-of-month deadline, donate toward Senator Hassan's reelection campaign.
