John,

When Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick voted against the Build Back Better Act two weeks ago, he voted against universal pre-k, affordable housing, lower drug prices, paid family and medical leave, Medicaid expansion, limits to childcare costs, and millions of clean energy jobs. This plan is based on corporations and the rich paying their fair share so the rest of us can live with dignity and prosper.

Fitzpatrick betrayed the people of Pennsylvania’s 1st District for the sake of standing in line with his party, led by spineless Trump-loyalist Kevin McCarthy.

People in this district should not have to stay up at night worrying whether Fitzpatrick will do the right thing. We never know what McCarthy is going to allow him to do, and in this case, he chose partisan games over the people he was elected to serve.

This was a crucial test of leadership, and Fitzpatrick failed. It’s clear: a vote for him is a vote for McCarthy. Our communities deserve better, and that’s why I’m running for Congress.

Tomorrow is our campaign’s second-to-last fundraising deadline of 2021, and we’ve really fallen behind this month. The only way we’re going to take on Fitzpatrick and the GOP machine is by building an undeniable movement of people power, and I need your help.

Please, if you can afford to, will you rush a contribution of $10 or more to help us hit our goal by tomorrow’s midnight deadline so I can replace Fitzpatrick and fight for you in Congress?

I’m grateful for anything you can contribute to help us flip this seat next year and give PA-01 the representation we deserve.
