John,
We hope you had a restful Thanksgiving — the #VOTEPROCHOICE Team is so thankful to have you with us in the ever-intensifying fight for reproductive freedom.
We want to celebrate all that #VOTEPROCHOICE accomplished in 2021 (so far). Your support is crucial right now for us to continue our work — your gift in any amount will help us meet our end-of-month goal and gear up for 2022.
Here’s what you supported in 2021: Our team researched races across 29 states to find the most prochoice candidates in the country — nearly 13,000 races in total. #VOTEPROCHOICE recommended prochoice candidates in 4,159 races.
We also endorsed 324 truly incredible prochoice candidates, and we directly coached 96 candidates running in high-priority local races where reproductive freedom is most at risk.
These are candidates who approach policy through a justice-oriented lens, so whether this was their first race, they were a long-shot, or they were running against an incumbent with resources, we commit to them because they are the champions we need to achieve full reproductive freedom.
We're so proud to announce that 60% of our coached candidates WON, despite the fact that many of them had the toughest races on the ballot!
66% of our endorsed candidates were at the local level and 24% were at the state level because we focus our power on where abortion bans and reproductive restrictions are passed in the first place.
63% of our candidates are women; 56% of our candidates are people of color, and almost 20% of our candidates identify as LGBTQ+.
Our team reached millions of prochoice voters ahead of the 2021 election — and nearly 200,000 voters in targeted priority areas like Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, used our voting resources to cast a prochoice ballot in 2021.
#VOTEPROCHOICE continues to build the political home of the nation’s prochoice majority. Our mission has always been to ensure that all people in America have full, unrestricted legal access to abortion and reproductive healthcare services that are safe, accessible, affordable, and destigmatized.
Support our work with a contribution here.
Thank you for being a prochoice voter.
