Per the MCRGO By-Laws, an annual meeting of the members shall be held each year on a date selected by the Board of Directors in the Lansing area. The purpose of the meeting is to seat directors elected or re-elected earlier in the year, for directors to elect officers, to provide information to the membership on the legislative, litigation and educational activities of the corporation, or to transact other business as may come before the meeting.
This year, the annual meeting will take place this Friday, December 3 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Coral Gables Restaurant located at 2838 Grand River Avenue; East Lansing, MI 48823. The event is open to any current member of MCRGO.
A pizza and salad lunch buffet with coffee, pop, and water will be served. Members will not be charged for lunch but will be asked to make a contribution to defray the cost of the event. Coral Gables supports defensive carry, both openly and concealed. No COVID restrictions are current in effect.
Because seating is limited, it is necessary to RSVP to ensure a seat for yourself. You may RSVP by e-mailing Brady at [email protected]. About a dozen spots remain open as of publication of this E'News. For members unable to attend in person, the event will be viewable on the MCRGO Coffee Table Facebook group (WiFi connection permitting).
The first hour of the meeting will focus on officer elections and reports to the membership. The second hour is appointment of MCRGO-PAC for 2022, old & new business of the board, and member Q&A along with lunch. The final hour will be small group breakouts focused on the topic of enhancing member engagement over the coming decade.
