Prince George's County 2022 Candidates Labor Forum this Wednesday

The Metropolitan Washington Labor Council's Committee on Political Education (COPE) invites all Prince George's County candidates who are contemplating, have declared, or filed for elected office in 2022 to save the date on Dec. 1 for the Council's forum to educate candidates on political and legislative issues the labor movement seeks to address in the coming year and beyond. The forum will feature panelists in healthcare, education, the public sector, building trades, and transportation, among others. Email

Clerks, teamsters and building service workers at Boston Stores in Milwaukee strike at the beginning of the Christmas rush. The strike won widespread support - at one point 10,000 pickets jammed the sidewalks around the main store - but ultimately was lost.
