As a stark reminder: Republicans only need to flip 5 seats to take back our Democratic House majority.

Earlier this month showed us momentum is on the far-right’s side. Republicans cleanly swept state-leadership across Virginia. Democrats who won decisively in 2017 barely won reelection in New Jersey this year. Even New Jersey State Senate Democratic Majority Leader lost his seat to a far-right Republican.

Put simply: History is just not on our side. Midterm elections always favor the party out of power. Republicans are convinced they’ll win next year -- and getting even more brazen in their attacks against us.

But here’s something we have that Republicans don’t: A large, dedicated grassroots army ready to defend our Democrats and protect our progress.

So as we approach the midterm elections, we need to tap into that people power. We need all hands on deck to raise $8,000 by Wednesday, rush resources to the frontlines, and defy history.
