I hope you had a good Thanksgiving weekend. I enjoyed spending some time with family and friends, but I'm coming back online for the weekend to make sure we meet the mark on Tuesday's upcoming fundraising deadline.
This deadline has taken on a new urgency this month. Once again, Kevin McCarthy turned his back on the Central Valley by trying to obstruct the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework and the Build Back Better Act.
You may not know this about me John, but my dad was actually a proud farmworker here in the Central Valley. We know the price our community pays every time McCarthy tries to block legislation that would expand roads and waterways, alleviate wildfires, and protect against extreme weather conditions.
With redistricting wrapping up soon, that means new voters to communicate with. Here at HQ, it's our job to make sure we meet the mark on every fundraising goal to fund our outreach efforts. We're close, but we need to raise $5,991 before midnight to stay on track.
