Senator Joe Manchin says he won’t support a federal tax credit for union-made electric vehicles in the Build Back Better bill when it comes to the Senate.
The Build Back Better package currently includes an initiative to provide a $7,500 tax credit to consumers who purchase electric vehicles through 2026. After 2026, only U.S.-made electric vehicles would qualify for the $7,500 credit.
Consumers who buy union-made electric vehicles would receive an additional $4,500 federal tax credit.
Here’s what we want to know:
Do you think Joe Manchin and other Senators should support this measure to incentivize the purchase of electric vehicles?
