Most people would say that it’s officially holiday season, but in our house, that means football season. For the record, our house roots for the Panthers through thick and thin and celebrates Rams losses. Also for the record, my fantasy football team is projected to beat Jasmine’s this week. She cares, I do not.

The end of November also means that Jasmine is rapidly approaching her end-of-month deadline. As in sports, this period will set the tone for the fourth quarter.

While I may not care enough about my fantasy football team to field an uninjured squad from week to week, what I do care a lot about is the message we send to our kids about our values and what kind of world we want to live in.

Jasmine is running in NC-14 to replace Madison Cawthorn’s divisive and fear-mongering tactics with love, hope, and empathy. But it’s going to take our whole team to win.
