Two months ago, the people of Mississauga—Streetsville elected me to be their voice in Parliament and to help keep Canada moving forward. As the first Filipina Canadian woman to sit in the House of Commons, I am feeling grateful to have this opportunity to be a voice and advocate for so many people across the country.
This week’s Speech from the Throne laid out the crucial work that lies ahead for our Liberal team in government. I feel a great responsibility to represent my community, and to deliver on the important priorities that Canadians in communities across the country are counting on.
Commitments like finishing the fight against COVID-19 so we can all get back to doing the things we love, making $10-a-day child care a reality for Canadian families, accelerating our fight against climate change, and so much more.
