Dear friend,
In a year filled with alarming headlines about the pandemic, climate
crisis, and conflict, #GivingTuesday is a time to celebrate something
hopeful: A better world is possible when we come together to support the
causes we care about.
Over the next few days, millions of people will experience the joy of
giving. And the good news is you don’t have to
wait until Tuesday! [ [link removed] ]Make your early-bird #GivingTuesday gift now to

A few months ago, I wrote to you after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck
near our offices in Nippes, Haiti, collapsing buildings and homes and
leaving families broken. The destruction was heartbreaking.
I was in Port-au-Prince with my family when I received the frantic calls
from my team with the news. I returned to Nippes where we immediately
began emergency response efforts. We worked through fuel shortages,
floods, and aftershocks to coordinate the delivery and distribution of
essential items like soap, diapers, and tarps to 15,000 people.
I’ve seen the progress that’s possible with the generosity of people like
you. Our response efforts continue today — we recently distributed 5,000
additional hygiene kits, and we’re working to distribute cash assistance
to thousands more families.

Mercy Corps distributes essentials after the August earthquake in Haiti.
In Haiti and other countries where we work, we're able to recover and
rebuild after disaster because our locally staffed teams, the communities
we serve, and supporters around the world come together to make progress
possible. This is exactly what #GivingTuesday is all about — together, we
have the power to make amazing things happen.
[ [link removed] ]You can help fuel our efforts in 40+ countries where we work with
your first #GivingTuesday gift today.
Thank you for your support during this #GivingTuesday, and every day of
the year.
