Last week, I voted YES on the Build Back Better bill and joined House Democrats in passing the generational social spending package to support working families and better our future.

This historic bill and key piece of President Biden’s agenda:

• Lowers health care and childcare costs
• Fights inflation by making corporations pay their fair share
• Makes the largest investment in addressing the climate crisis in history
• Addresses the lack of affordable housing — in my district and across the country

My focus has always been to invest in caregivers, seniors, communities of color and children, which is exactly what this bill does. It will create good paying union jobs, address racial inequity and economic inequality, and reduce poverty.

But the truth is, this bill is just the first step. To continue to address the many challenges faced by millions across America, I’ll need your help to keep up the fight.
