Friend, I was happy to see President Biden sign the bipartisan infrastructure package into law, making our country’s first major investments in climate resilience.
This bill does a whole lot of good. It’s going to give us the resources to fix our roads and bridges, improve internet access, secure access to clean drinking water, and create thousands of new jobs in Hawaii and millions more nationwide.
I want to stress this: This is only the beginning.
Please chip in before the end-of-month deadline so we can continue delivering meaningful progress for our country. → [[link removed]]
We are working to build on the progress made by the infrastructure bill and make the largest effort to combat climate change in U.S. history.
That means transformative investments in clean energy, emission reductions to meet our climate goals, and a serious commitment to environmental justice for communities that have been hit the hardest by the impacts of climate change.
At the same time, Donald Trump is threatening to endorse primary challengers to Republicans who voted for the infrastructure plan, and some House Republicans want to strip committee assignments from members of their own party who voted for it.
That’s what we’re up against. It’s a choice between climate action and building climate-resilient roads and bridges or GOP leaders who want to play politics with the future of our planet.
I’m counting on grassroots activists like you to step up and take action to make sure we stay on the right path forward as a country. Please consider making a contribution before the deadline on Tuesday. [[link removed]]
