We need diversity in our party.
We need conservative candidates from all races, genders, and backgrounds to
run for office. We need to show America that the majority of individuals
believe that America is good, our freedoms are always worth defending, and
conservative policies are the best solution to lift up all Americans.
I’m not just talking about the House and the Senate. I’m talking about the
importance of expanding our party at all levels of government – federal, state,
and local.
That’s because today’s state legislators are tomorrow’s governors and members
of Congress.
But declaring your candidacy is never easy. Neither is campaigning. And it’s
even harder when the media does its best to distract from conservative policies
and focus on shallow topics.
I know this firsthand from my race in 2004 when I ran for a seat in the state
House of Representatives against a 30-year incumbent.
No one thought I could win. But the people of the Palmetto State were hungry
for something different, someone outside the good ol’ boys club. They proved it
by putting their trust in me as their first Indian American state legislator,
and a couple years later, the first female and minority governor of South
Carolina.
We need strong conservatives to run for office. The good news is, we’re on the
right track. Just a few weeks ago Virginia elected Winsome Sears – the first
female African American as lieutenant governor – and Jason Miyares – the first
Latino attorney general. They are both strong conservatives.
But our work doesn’t stop there. We must continue the success from 2021 and
expand it even further in 2022.
That’s where Stand For America PAC comes in. I launched Stand For America PAC
back in January to help strong conservatives across the country have the
resources and tools they need to win their races.
So far we’ve helped dozens of candidates, and we’re ready to help so many
more.
To continue our mission, I’m asking for your help today. Will you provide a
