John, we have an important favor to ask of you today.
Our end-of-month deadline is coming up in three days, and we've set an ambitious goal to raise $20,000 by then to fuel our critical, urgent work.
To be honest with you, John, this is one of our most ambitious goals this year. But we ran the numbers, and we need to raise $20,000 by the end of this month if we want to be set up for success heading into next year.
The money we raise today will determine how much money we can put towards critical investments to grow our movement and best position Jamaal to keep his seat in Congress in 2022.
Unfortunately, Jamaal already has a challenger in the race. And once new district boundaries are finalized, we're expecting to see even more challengers jump in, ready to halt the progress that we've made as a movement.
And as a member of Congress who's unapologetically held the line for progressive values, keeping Jamaal in the House will be more important — and challenging — than ever.
The good news is that as challenging as it may be, John, we can send Jamaal back to Congress. But it's going to take all of us working together and working together early. Which is why we have to ask again:
