I have to be honest: I’ve seen nothing like it during my time in elected office.

Republicans have become the party of far-right extremists in which any attack on our democracy and its representatives is acceptable.

Instead of being a party of policies and ideas, the Donald Trump-Kevin McCarthy Republicans are now little more than a group of angry anti-democratic plotters seeking revenge on those who stand up to them.

Emboldened by their victory in Virginia, McCarthy’s House Republicans—with one or two exceptions—flatly refuse to work across the aisle or restore decency to Congress.

Here’s the deal: While Democrats are working to improve the lives of American families, Republicans are plotting. GOP members of Congress and their enablers spend their days viciously attacking Democrats and their nights scheming to return Trump to office.

I’m sounding the alarm, John. The midterms are less than a year away—and I’m asking supporters like you to step up now. We must work harder than ever before to save our democracy.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, John.

Republican-controlled state legislatures are working overtime to gerrymander congressional districts. Following Trump’s demands, local and state election officials are being replaced with MAGA loyalists ready to rig the vote if needed.

We can’t give up. Now, more than ever, we need to pull out all the stops to ensure Democrats win up and down the ballot in 2022.

I’m asking 1,500 grassroots supporters to step up by midnight on November 30 to show they’re ready to get to work. Can I count on you?
