John,
I hope you take time today to visit your local florist, deli, convenience store, or whatever small businesses are in your community to support the owners and celebrate Small Business Saturday with them.
Days like these remind me of the perseverance of my great-grandmother, who immigrated to the U.S. from Italy as a child and opened a grocery store on the first floor of her home to support her family and make ends meet.
That store is still in my family today after four generations – owned and operated by my parents in Whitehall, New York. Our town is a place where if someone needs help, the community will come together to support them, and that spirit informs so much of why I’m running for Congress.
Helping out at the family business!

I want the chance in Congress to stand up for our community the way we do for one another, fight for honorable leadership, and support small businesses across Upstate New York just like my parents’ grocery store.
To get there, I need your support. I’m running against Elise Stefanik who has the financial power of corporate donors and Trump fundraisers behind her – which have already raised her $2.6 million. Please, consider contributing to my campaign to defeat Stefanik so we can bring the North Country together.

Happy Small Business Saturday,
Matt
