I know it's the middle of a long weekend so I'll keep this short.

A week ago the House passed a massive bill to cut costs and invest in families. Universal pre-K. Paid family leave. Childcare. Medicare and Medicaid expansion. Funding to curb child poverty. Help for renters and homebuyers.

We promised voters we’d act, and the House did. The Senate must act. Now.

But if we're going to pass voting rights, implement democracy reform, raise the minimum wage, and continue ensuring working families actually can get ahead – to thrive once again — we can't afford to lose our Democratic majorities. We just can’t.

But with only a 5-seat advantage in the House and the Senate split 50-50, we're facing strong headwinds ahead of the midterms. And midterms are seldom favorable to the president's party.

Meanwhile, Republicans have predictably turned to a campaign of voter disenfranchisement and their disinformation media complex is firing on all cylinders – we have limited time to respond.
