John,

As hard as it was to swallow, the results of this month’s election in Virginia were unmistakably clear -- and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has some strong words for Democrats heading into the 2022 midterms:

AOC: The idea that 'we're not Trump' is enough for Democrats to win elections is 'deeply demoralizing'

Democrats have made large and bold promises that they should be able to keep if our House and Senate majorities stay intact. Will you chip in $5 today towards our end-of-month goal to help protect and expand our Democratic House majority?

We might not be able to go back and change the past, but we can use what happened in Virginia as a wake-up call now that we’re less than a year away from the midterm elections.

If Virginia was any indication, Democrats will have to separate themselves from Trump’s GOP by delivering results -- and that is exactly what AOC and others are doing in the House. At the end of the day, voters want to elect candidates who are showing up in their communities, keeping the promises they made on the campaign trail.

With the infrastructure package and the Build Back Better Act , Democrats are demonstrating that they’re working hard to show up for their communities.

Our House majority is critical to helping our country move forward. Republicans will only set back our progress on women’s health, climate change, and healthcare, and we can’t let them. Can we count on you to donate $5 or more before our end-of-month deadline to help protect and expand our Democratic House majority?
