If this month's loss in the Virginia Governor's race – and our surprisingly narrow victory in New Jersey – taught us anything, it's that Democrats cannot take a single seat for granted next year. We cannot come up short on our fundraising, our campaign strategy, our voter turnout – on any of it. Not with Democratic Senate control hanging on by a thread. Not with so much progress left to make for the American people.

But even as Senate Democrats have partnered with President Biden to pass monumental legislation, political forecasters just downgraded several key Senate races from "Leans Democrat" to "Toss Up" status. If we come up short in just a single race, Mitch McConnell will once again call the shots in the Senate. All hope for progress will be lost.

Ahead of the upcoming election year, I need my most engaged grassroots supporters to weigh in on Democratic campaign strategy. Taking back Senate control last year was a grassroots effort, and defending it this time around will take an even bigger grassroots effort. That's why I take your feedback so seriously, and why my team created a brand-new Democratic Focus Group to collect your input.
