Comrades!
First - A huge thank you to everyone who pedaled their way to Cheesman Park for our inaugural Cranksgiving to provide supplies to MutualAidMonday & LakotaWay - we ended up with a surprisingly large haul; your efforts were deeply appreciated!
Second - The
end of the year 2021 Denver DSA membership survey is here! We’d
like to hear about the issues you’re interested in working on as a DDSA member,
your interest in connecting with other DDSA members in your neighborhood, and
your input on meetings going forward.
Covid requires
us to be flexible and adapt to the inherent risks associated with organizing in person. The current surge in cases has threatened to overwhelm our
health care resources. We want to respect the wishes of those who prefer to
meet in person, but in a reality where health care is not free, we also believe that
it is our duty to foster as safe an environment as possible to prevent
transmission. We did the research and cost analysis associated with different
safety measures that are within our power to control as detailed in the survey.
The
membership survey will be open until the end of this year and we will be using
the December 11th general meeting as our return to the Washington St Community
Center for the first time in almost 2 years - as a demonstration of what
meeting with these safety measures would look like.
More details for the December 11th meeting, including a way to sign up to attend in person, are forthcoming.
