Chaz’s parents were both proud members of the Native community. His father was Blackfoot and his mother was Yaqui. Growing up, Chaz’s family never missed a powwow when it came to town. Chaz regards these experiences immersed in culture and community as both formative and inspirational.

In honor of Native American Heritage Day, we're starting a petition demanding more action regarding the epidemic of violence perpetrated by outsiders on Tribal Land. Unfortunately, there's still so much violence that happens against Indigenous communities and we want to do everything we can to make that stop.

Sign our petition to take action for missing and murdered indigenous women now.

Yesterday, we celebrated gratitude. Today, we think about and honor the indigenous peoples of Colorado. The Ute, Cheyanne, Pueblo, Arapaho, Apache, and the Shoshone. We can and will find a way to work together to right the wrongs of our past and build a brighter future for all Americans.

We need to act now to prioritize safety and security for Native people!

Never forget, we are on Native land.
