When I first began serving Colorado, I was called the “accidental senator.” But after putting my head down, doing the work, and securing wins for the people of Colorado, winning re-election was no accident.

Because grassroots supporters like you helped Democrats win back the Senate last year, we scored major wins for the American people. We passed the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act , so we can update our roads, bridges, high-speed internet, public transportation, and water infrastructure, and are on track to create good-paying jobs all across Colorado to complete these projects.

Just last week, the House passed the Build Back Better Act — a piece of legislation that will, among other things, lower the cost of child care, expand access to affordable health care, fight climate change, cap drug costs, and make the wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share. It’s how we start to build an economy that works for everyone and includes my provision to extend the monthly Child Tax Credit payments for another year.

These achievements are only possible because of you. This team pitched in to build the campaign infrastructure required to win. You might be surprised to hear this, but a large portion of our budget comes from grassroots contributions to emails just like this one. And, I’m the only Democratic Senator running for re-election that’s refusing to accept a single cent of corporate PAC and federal lobbyist money because I believe fighting money in politics means leading by example.

From day one, this team has been fueled by hard-working folks chipping in what they could for a movement we all believe in. There will never be a question of who I work for — that answer will always be you.

But to win this race and keep Colorado blue, our campaign has to reach and mobilize voters across the state while battling attacks from Mitch McConnell, dark money groups, and extreme opponents here in Colorado. It’s expensive work with the National GOP raking in millions and a wealthy self-funded opponent launching attack ads against me, we can’t rest for a moment.
