Data report out of Iowa for John:
|
- Democrat Abby Finkenauer, the youngest woman to flip a House seat from red to blue, officially outraised her opponent, seven-term incumbent Sen. Chuck Grassley (R), in the third fundraising quarter of the year.
- More bad news for Sen. Grassley: A new poll from The Des Moines Register shows he has his highest disapproval with Iowa voters in decades.
- With Senate control split 50-50, a win in Iowa could virtually guarantee Democrats Senate control. But the Senate GOP campaign arm has raised $76 million this year to protect vulnerable incumbents like Sen. Grassley.
- Abby Finkenauer will need another historic fundraising quarter to secure the resources to compete against Mitch McConnell and Sen. Grassley.
