When I was growing up in rural Arizona, little girls were expected to ride horses -- they were not expected to grow up and become United States Congresswomen.

Back then, girls were not encouraged to pursue higher education and certainly not elected office. In fact, a lot of girls in my class dropped out of school after eighth grade and got married.
But I defied the odds to become an Arizona Congresswoman.
And I'm coming to you because I need your help to defy the odds again:
Republicans are pouring resources into taking back my seat and if we don't raise another $3,488 by our public deadline my campaign will be dead on arrival.
So I'm humbly asking: Will you chip in $5 to my campaign?

To be completely honest: I am worried.
The Republican big money machine is powerful and they are determined to flip this seat.
But I've been up against the odds before and I know if we hit our goals we can win this thing.
I'm depending on grassroots supporters like you: Can you rush a donation right away?

Thank you so very much,
Ann
