Landlords and big business can't cope with women that challenge authority.

No one called Jenny Durkan “rude” when she shielded police from accountability in their role killing Charleena Lyles. Or ordered sweeps of unhoused people from neighborhood to neighborhood.
The recall campaign says Kshama Sawant is ”rude” and “uncivil” (!) for merely attending a March young members of the community organized with surviving families of police killings. And opening doors to the public.
Rude to who? Uncivil to who? Which is worse: some broken feelings or broken bodies?
There's some pretty messed up and coded language around civility. This recall campaign is about many things: keeping melanated people quiet for speaking uncomfortable truth to power, retribution for last summer's rebellions in defense of Black lives, and opening City Hall's doors to the public like an accountable elected official ought to. Want to fight back? Join us as we canvass Saturday and Sunday. We'll mobilize, meet people where they are, and bring out a resounding "Heck No!" to the recall.
