After many months of hard work, determination, and perseverance, House Democrats finally passed the Build Back Better Act last week.

We overcame relentless Republican obstruction, resistance from “moderates” within our own party, and even a nonsensical marathon monologue from Kevin McCarthy to pass a law that is the largest investment in combating the climate crisis in U.S. history.

Of course, we couldn’t have accomplished this if it weren’t for our Democratic majority. And believe me, we would have arrived here a lot faster if we had an even bigger majority.

Holding onto the House won’t be easy, especially as the GOP ramps up their efforts to suppress voting rights and gerrymander district maps in their favor. So we’re going to have to work doubly hard to get our voters to the polls and ensure a massive turnout.

This is truly a matter of our very existence. Republicans have made it clear they will not deal with the climate crisis and are perfectly happy to let the planet be destroyed by fires, pollution, and natural disasters.
