Hey there --

Hope you’ve been having a nice Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve been enjoying spending time with my family and friends here in Boston. While some in my family are out shopping this Black Friday, I’ll tell you that I’m more excited for tomorrow: Small Business Saturday.

Over the past few months, through our Main Street Against Big Tech [[link removed]] campaign, we’ve heard from so many small business owners across the country about the challenges they face competing with Big Tech monopolies. These businesses feel swindled by Facebook and Google’s opaque advertising tools and they know how the playing field is tilted in favor of monopolies like Amazon that promote their own products in search results.

Join us this Small Business Saturday in highlighting the real stories and experiences of small business owners who are sick and tired of having to play by Amazon, Google, and Facebook’s rules. Share our new video of small business owners across the country saying it’s time to rein in Big Tech:

We can’t afford to continue letting Big Tech get away with abusing their monopoly power to the detriment of small business owners and consumer choice. For too long, Big Tech corporations like Facebook, Google, and Amazon have used small business owners as a shield against reform and accountability. But the truth is that Big Tech abuses its gatekeeper status and exploits small business every step of the way.

Small businesses help grow and create opportunity in our communities, and we owe it to them to rein in Big Tech.

Let’s show them some appreciation this Small Business Saturday,

Nicole

We recognize the irony of urging you to take action on the dominant social media platforms we’re fighting to hold accountable, but they are… well… dominant. We must reach people where they are in order to level the playing field.
