Dear Friend,
2021 has been a year of profound challenge and opportunity. At Adhikaar, we rise everyday to meet the urgent needs of the Nepali-speaking community while building the collective power and leadership of our members to fight for workers’ rights, immigrant rights, healthcare access and language justice.

“As a TPS holder, I am able to work and travel back to Nepal to see my children. It has given me some protection however this is not permanent. I have been a domestic worker for 15 years. During this pandemic, many of my sisters who were TPS holders continued working as live-in nannies and housekeepers with their employers. We have kept the economy moving and continue to do so. Hundreds of thousands of TPS holders like myself want to continue contributing to this country. And we continue to build this nation. Our families deserve full access to the American dream. I feel scared and unsure of what I am going to do. But our fight for citizenship continues and I am proud that we have not given up.”

This #GivingTuesday, consider making a donation to Adhikaar. With your generous support, we can ensure that the voices and demands of member leaders like Nita are at the forefront of campaigns and legislative agendas to advance workers' rights and immigration justice. Together with our members and leaders, we are demonstrating the power of collective action, cross-cultural solidarity, mutual support and movement building, and ensuring that the work of reimagining and rebuilding just systems includes all of us.

We are excited about where our work is headed, and we hope you make a donation to Adhikaar today. With your support, we will continue building a stronger powerhouse of marginalized Nepali-speaking workers and immigrants for generations to come.
