Prior to the 2020 election, leading experts on democracy got together to imagine what would happen if things went wrong on Election Day. And we don’t want to alarm you, but their conclusions revealed that our democracy faces grave peril indeed.
The good news is there’s still a LOT we can do to fight back. The NDRC is working every day for stronger voting rights protections and an END to Republican gerrymandering, but we need your support to keep fighting. Will you pitch in today, friend?

Another group of 100 democracy experts concluded that national voting and fair election standards are essential -- which is why we’re working so hard to support the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
That’s all in addition to our work on the ground in a number of key battleground states, where we’re doing everything we can to block Republican gerrymanders and keep citizens engaged in the redistricting process.
President Obama knows that we can do it. He said “With focus, persistence, and, yes, a little bit of hope, I know we can put power back in the hands of the people." But we’re going to need your support, friend -- and we have to act NOW.
