Hi friends, happy Thanksgiving!
I’d like to take a moment to share my thanks with you.
It’s been a difficult two years since the pandemic started – but I am thankful that by this Thanksgiving we’ve come a long way. Thanks to the wide availability of vaccines and safety measures we’ve all dedicated ourselves to, we’re in a better position today than we were last year during the holiday season. We’re not out of the woods yet, but we’ve come very far from where we were just a year ago.
I’m thankful for you and every person in the Virgin Islands and across the country who has supported me throughout this year. January 6th was a tough moment in our history – but it makes me proud that with your support we stood up to Donald Trump and called the truth to what happened so that we can make sure it never happens again.
And just like you, I am thankful that Donald Trump is no longer our President. This year, our country started to heal from the disastrous 4 years of the Trump administration.
But what I am most thankful for is having the support of my family. The support of my husband and 5 children who remind me that everything I do in Congress is worth every effort. They are my inspiration to continue to do my part in building a better country.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving. I wish you and your family a very happy holiday!
