Hi there,
I know you’re about to sit down with family and friends for Thanksgiving dinner, but before you do, I wanted to share my thoughts on today.
In New Mexico, we have a lot to be thankful for — from the sweeping majesty of Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, to the rich fields that produce green chile, to our cities and towns that always make you feel like home, no matter where you go.
I’m also thankful for the resiliency of our people as we endure another year of a pandemic, whether it’s essential workers that have kept our economy afloat, volunteer networks distributing food to those in need, teachers working overtime to make sure their students receive quality education, or everyday people planning with their families to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
When you elected me to the Senate, I made a promise that I would fight for those who have been overlooked, and every day, I’m filled with gratitude to have the opportunity to keep building on that progress.
A brighter future for all New Mexicans is on the way, and it’s your kindness, your compassion, and your strength that inspires me to keep on fighting.
I hope your day is filled with joy, and I wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving!
