Each member of Congress makes this promise when they are sworn into office:

“I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;”

Today, Democrats in the House took an important step to formalize the impeachment inquiry into the President and defend our Constitution.

Democrats stood up to corruption while their Republican counterparts on the Hill ignore the harsh reality of this administration and their oath. It sure seems that their true faith and allegiance lies not with the American people, but with a corrupt and compromised President.

Millions of military members took an oath to protect this country and our Constitution. In that oath, we swore to "...well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God." Donald Trump’s actions are neither well nor faithful...Americans must now choose between defending our Constitution or watching our democracy crumble into chaos.

We need more folks in Congress that understand this sacred oath. Help me defend our democracy again by sending me to Congress, and I will well and faithfully serve the folks of TX-24 and the rest of our nation.
