I wanted to take a moment to wish you and your family a happy, safe, and relaxing Thanksgiving!

Even though it’s been a challenging year for all of us, we still have plenty to be thankful for. First: I want to say my personal thanks to all of the grassroots supporters from all across the country who have helped me in my campaign to defeat Marjorie Taylor Greene. When we first launched this campaign, I had no clue what would happen -- but since then, activists from all across America have lent their support to me and my team - and I am filled with gratitude.

But today for me is also a day for reflecting on Thanksgivings from years past -- particularly my time in the service.

The above pictures are from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Lightning in Gardez, Afghanistan where I was stationed during Thanksgiving 2011. As I think back on my time in the service, I’m thankful to all of the phenomenal men and women I met overseas who gave their everything to the cause. Their bravery and dedication still inspires me - and I carry the lessons with me to this day.

Finally, I am (as always) thankful for my family who continue to support me - and I am looking forward to eating a good meal with them, and watching some football.
