Sometimes in the most challenging of times we also see what makes our community so strong.

The horrific attack in Waukesha has been a blow to all of us. Our hearts go out to the victims and their family and friends who are reeling from this incomprehensible tragedy.

Even in darkness, it is important to find moments of gratitude and thanks. This week, we saw first responders run into danger to protect our neighbors, we saw nurses and doctors step up to assist, and law enforcement officials work to serve and protect our community.

I am proud to live in a place where we can find people exemplifying grace and courage even in the most difficult times. That is why I am grateful to call Wisconsin home.

Wishing you and your loves ones moments of light, grace and gratitude this Thanksgiving.
