Team,
Today and tomorrow are two very important holidays for New Mexico families.
Today, many families are gathering for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow, we honor our Native communities during Native American Heritage Day.
With that in mind, we wanted to take a moment and tell you, team, that we are grateful for you.
We also want to take this moment and say thank you to our Democratic elected officials who work every day to make New Mexico a better place.
We also want to recognize Native American Heritage Day. Despite a painful history marked by unjust policies of assimilation and termination, Native communities have persevered. We celebrate the countless contributions of Native communities past and present, honor the influence they have had on the advancement of our Nation, and recommit ourselves to upholding trust and treaty responsibilities, strengthening Tribal sovereignty, and advancing Tribal self-determination.
We are grateful to those who are committed to protecting our Native communities, like Secretary Haaland and President Biden, and their commitment to protecting Native lands like Chaco Canyon.
Our supporters are the foundation of the Democratic Party of New Mexico, and without you, things would be very different. So thank you!
