And what a difference you've made -- check out our 2021 Highlights
Dear Supporter,
Before I head out on my family's annual Thanksgiving hike, I wanted to say thank you. On behalf of the entire Sierra Club, I am so grateful for this extraordinary community and all that we have achieved together.
We got to work this year — engaging with the new Biden administration, rallying community action across the nation, and pushing Congress to enact historic legislation that will make significant investments in fighting the climate crisis and environmental injustice.
We went all out in support of Build Back Better and climate and justice investments that will make a very real difference for our families and communities. We pushed the US to rejoin the
Paris Agreement.
Together, our grassroots movement helped get the
Keystone XL Pipeline
finally cancelled. You helped get protections restored to stop logging in the
Tongass National Forest
and expand the boundaries of
Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante, and Northeast Canyons and Seamounts National Monuments.
And our advocacy with Indigenous partners helped suspend new oil and gas leasing in the
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Your online actions, calls to Congress, texting parties, Team Sierra fundraisers, social posts, and generous support have made this all possible. Despite another exhausting year,
you and millions of changemakers recognized both the stakes and the opportunity of this moment, persevered in pursuit of a livable planet for all, and showed up
— and I could not be more proud or grateful.
I hope you feel proud too,
knowing that you are part of this community that helped to accomplish so much this year.
There is still so much more to be done — but we face it head-on knowing that we can count on you to continue this deeply important work with us. We’re honored to be in this movement with you. And we remain committed to building a world that gives everyone plenty to be thankful for.
So wherever you are today, however you are spending the day, you are always welcome at our table. Pull up a seat. We’re so grateful you are here.
