Friend,

At the SPLC, Thanksgiving is a chance for us to reflect on our
gratitude for each and every one of our supporters. We could not do
any of our work without the commitment of supporters like you, so we
want to say, once again, thank you.

Thank you for helping us monitor hate groups and extremists

, track the spread of their ideologies and expose their activities to
the public, media and government officials.

Thank you for helping us stand up for the rights of children

in the Deep South and across the country, ensuring they have
equitable opportunities to reach their full potential.

Thank you for helping us protect the rights of immigrants and their
families
[link removed]

, especially in a political climate more polarized about immigration
- and the vital role migrants play in our society - than
ever.

Thank you for helping us advance the rights of members of the LGBTQ
community
[link removed]

, because despite recent noteworthy gains, many barriers to full
equality under the law remain.

Thank you for helping us combat the devastating effects of poverty and
economic injustice

, particularly in the Deep South and in communities of color.

Thank you for helping us push for long-overdue criminal justice reform
[link removed]

, seeking to create a system that respects and protects the dignity
and humanity of all people.

Thank you for helping us fight back against rampant voter suppression
efforts

in legislatures across the country, because we must not allow
discriminatory voting practices to undermine our democracy.

Thank you for helping support our Learning for Justice program
[link removed]

, which continues to provide free, high-quality antiracist educational
materials to advocates and educators across the country.

Thank you for helping us continue to improve our Civil Rights Memorial
Center

in Montgomery, Alabama, which chronicles the history of the civil
rights movement and honors its martyrs - and which will soon
reopen after an exciting, top-to-bottom renovation.

With supporters like you on our side, we are determined to continue
the march for justice, this holiday season and beyond.

Best wishes,

Your friends at the Southern Poverty Law Center
