John,

Looking back at the past two years, it seems as though time has both flown by and stood still. Many of us are reconnecting with our loved ones for the first time in a long time. Life looks different now. Some of the changes have been challenging, some have tested us, but we are working toward a better world, and transformation on such a large scale is rarely quick or easy.

Here at the Law Enforcement Action Partnership, it was hard to imagine a busier year than 2020, but as we near the end of 2021, LEAP’s work hasn’t slowed. Over the next month, you’ll hear about the crucial issues we addressed to push for real, equitable change throughout the justice system; the outstanding efforts our speakers made, leading by example as police who prioritize integrity and accountability; and the impact we had on communities all over the country with our Community Responder Model. You’ll get a picture of what our work really meant in 2021. And you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the work ahead, beginning on November 30 with our #GivingTuesday campaign – a 24-hour chance to have your donation to LEAP doubled.

But today, we simply want to say thank you. For standing with us. For knowing what LEAP brings to the table when our law enforcement experts put the weight of their experience behind an issue. For your commitment to building a justice system rooted in accountability, transparency, and compassion. Thank you for being a part of LEAP. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful Thanksgiving,
Diane & the LEAP Staff
