Hey team -

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope today finds you surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.

I was lucky enough to have both my twin sons, my in-laws and a cousin join us for Thanksgiving this year. It reminded me how much time with family (and a break from the campaign trail) can help you recharge.

But, as we gather to celebrate and give thanks, I’m also reminded of the call to serve others — particularly our most vulnerable.

The pandemic has shed a light on how rampant food insecurity is in North Carolina. Right now, our state ranks tenth in the nation in hunger — with nearly 600,000 people lacking enough food to eat each day.

And while there are long-term efforts we must make to ensure that no one goes hungry, there’s immediate action we can take, too. Right now.

So I’m hoping you will consider joining me today in supporting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC to make sure more families have meals on their table this holiday season.

If you can, please consider donating to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to help us put food on our neighbors' tables this holiday season. Your gift will help provide food and hope to families, children and seniors right here in our community.

With the support of people all over North Carolina, the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC provided over 115 million meals in the last year alone. Let’s add to that number by putting more food on the table for families across the state.
