This time last year, we reached out to let you know just how grateful we are: grateful for our community and for all of the incredible work being done to support people experiencing homelessness.

And, especially, grateful for a place to call home.

In 2020, the world seemed to stop. As we all slowed down for a moment, it was underscored for many just how critical it is to support the most vulnerable among us. Home became our entire world- where we worked and played; most importantly, it was what kept us safe.

For the more than 580,000 people nationwide without a place to call home, however, that safety was, and is, missing.

Through it all, you remained steadfast. Your partnership and dependability have kept us going, and continued to make our work possible. With your support, the Alliance and its partner organizations have been able to make great strides on behalf of people experiencing homelessness in the midst of a global pandemic.

Our neighbors experiencing homelessness still do not have the protections that a home provides. Many of them will spend another holiday season weathering the harsh cold outdoors, or exposed to infection indoors.

As the holidays approach and bring with them the excitement and promise of a return to “normal,” the Alliance is committed to making sure people without a home are not forgotten. We know you’ll do the same, and for that, we are endlessly thankful.

Your friendship and support make all the difference. We are so grateful to be partnering with you in ending homelessness. We wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!
