Friend,

I wanted to reach out to personally wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving.

We have a lot to be thankful for this year. We're closer than ever to ending this pandemic, with millions of Americans vaccinated and booster shots available to all adults. I'm grateful to the health experts, healthcare workers, and essential workers -- many of whom are immigrants -- who have helped us recover. And I'm thankful for the work I've been able to do with my progressive colleagues in the House to pass historic investments in infrastructure, climate solutions, the care economy, and our working families.

I also want to take a moment to recognize that for Indigenous people, today is a day of remembrance and mourning. We must all acknowledge the hard truths of our past in order to move forward towards a better, more equitable future together.

However you observe this holiday, I hope you and your family are safe, happy, and healthy.

Best,
Chuy
