What are you thankful for this year? Click here to watch a special message from the Badger Institute team Friends, There is a children’s book you may remember, whether your parents read it to you long ago or you read it to your own children, called The Little Prince. There is a quote from that book that still speaks to us even as adults, especially during the special season we’re in. It goes, “What is essential is invisible to the eye.” Essentially, it highlights the importance of looking beneath the surface to find real truth and meaning. How eloquently timeless that simple token of wisdom is. Thanksgiving uniquely ties us all together as Americans, regardless of who you are or where you’ve been. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and give thanks for the blessings in our lives, as well as to bless others with simple acts of kindness, big or small. Perhaps Fred Rogers from “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” put it best, saying, “I believe it’s a fact of life that what we have is less important than what we make out of what we have.” Showing compassion to family, friends and strangers in good times and bad. Today is a time to be thankful for what we have and to bless others so that we can celebrate our common humanity, together. We invite you to watch a short one-minute video as the Badger Institute team reflects on what we are all uniquely thankful for. From all of us to you – wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving.
