Dear reader,

All of our readers give life to what we do, but the work is made
possible by our dedicated members, donors, and subscribers. This
Thanksgiving, our reporters asked to share their gratitude for
everything reader support has helped them achieve.

The ongoing pandemic and its economic dislocations, the climate crises
and, of course, the midterm elections, means reporting that goes beyond
the headlines is essential in 2022. I'll be focused on bringing you
stories from the states and municipalities where the heavy lifting of
democracy is being done. We at the Prospect depend on your continued
support to make deep dives into the underreported issues of the day
possible. - Gabrielle Gurley, Senior Editor

In recent months, I've been reporting and writing on the surge of
worker militance, which we've seen in the wave of strikes and
non-union workers quitting their jobs-stories I couldn't cover
without the support that Prospect readers generously provide. Next year,
I'll be covering this remarkable, overdue surge, and the 2022
elections-for which, again, I'll depend on your donations. Thanks!
- Harold Meyerson, Editor-at-Large

Thanks to your support we've been able to make sense of the muddle in
Washington and shine a light on the machinations of power as it really
operates. This year we've exposed the most infamous politicians and the
most unscrupulous corporate actors. As the temperature increases in 2022
(literally and politically) we want to continue to do that reporting
that you won't find anywhere else. - Alexander Sammon, Staff Writer

I joined the Prospect this past summer. As the magazine's newest writing
fellow, I was thrilled to get to work with iconic editors like David
Dayen and Gabrielle Gurley, but unsure what to expect. Reader support
has given me the opportunity at an early stage in my career-I
graduated from college just last year-to pursue deeply investigated
stories on issues from the geopolitics of biodiversity to private equity
firms' efforts to cash in on infrastructure spending. In 2022, I can't
wait to pursue more stories on climate and the energy transition. Thank
you!

**These reporters did an amazing job this last year, but only because of
the support of our members. In 2022, they want to focus on Future
Prospect and give you the stories you need to navigate our new normal
and build a better progressive movement.

Will you help them?**

Count me in!

Sincerely,
The American Prospect
