Dear John,
As we reflect and near the end of another challenging year, I’m heartened and reminded that among the challenges, there are also great successes and progress that we – the Ms. Foundation for Women and our supporters, grantee partners, and movement allies, achieved together and can all be proud of.
Progress that women and girls have led. Progress that serves as a source of hope and affirmation that we’re on the right path towards realizing gender and racial equity. There’s truly so much to be grateful for – here are the top five things that stand out for me:
- YOU. This work would not be possible without our supporters. Your support allows us to resource movements and build women’s collective power to dismantle oppression and create a democracy that works for all.
- Ability to reconnect in-person! As we continue to navigate the pandemic, I was thrilled that for the first time in two years, all Ms. Foundation staff were able to safely retreat together to learn, laugh, and be in community with one another.
- Grantee Partners. We trust women who are closest to the issues affecting their communities and our grantee partners continue to lead the way. Their everyday work fighting for policies that expand sexual and reproductive health and rights, end state-sanctioned violence, promote livable wages, and more, is what makes change possible.
Looking forward to what the future brings!
With sincere gratitude,
Teresa C. Younger, President & CEO
