Dear John:
This year, I was honored to take the helm of the Wilson Center, and I am especially grateful for the warm welcome I have received from the Wilson Center community. Our community has been brought together by a common dedication to the Wilson Center’s mission, espoused in our Congressional charter— to strengthen the fruitful relation between the world of learning and the world of public affairs.
In a world of 24 hour news cycles, with actors who often bend the narrative for their own aims, the Wilson Center has stood as an independent, nonpartisan voice on both long-term challenges and new developments. I am so proud of the Wilson Center’s work and look forward to continuing to build our capacity.
Our achievements have been possible because of your engagement. On behalf of the Wilson Center Board, staff, and fellows, thank you. Our gratitude for your support of our programming inspires all of us to work harder every day.
In the coming months we will continue to expand and sharpen our focus on issues such as human displacement around the world, enterprise diplomacy, critical supply chains, and global alliances.
I look forward to sharing our continued successes with you.
In the meantime, on behalf of the entire Wilson Center, I wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
