Happy Thanksgiving from Autism Speaks

Dear John,

It's the time of the year when we gather together with our
families and pause to reflect on that which we are thankful. This
year, in addition to family and friends, I'm thankful for the
privilege to serve the autism community as Autism Speaks' president and
chief executive officer. In little more than one month, I have already
witnessed the dedicated commitment that you, our supporters, our
volunteers, our staff and above all the families and individuals we
serve, have for our vision, mission and work.

Despite the challenges of the past year and a half, you continue to
help Autism Speaks to advance life-enhancing breakthroughs in autism
care, provide more free, personalized support, and increase childhood
screening and intervention resources. You're helping to create a
more accepting, understanding and inclusive world for our broad and
diverse community. As the father of an adult on the spectrum, I am
honored to a part of such a loyal and caring community and as
president and CEO of Autism Speaks, I am excited by the future
prospect of our collective power to create a world where all people
with autism can reach their full potential to live their best life.
With you by our side, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.
