#1. Trying to steal seats for his GOP friends
When Baker made the decision to appoint the Mayor of Taunton register of probate, he made sure to give pro-Trump, Republican State Rep. Shaunna O’Connell a heads-up.
Less than an hour after the official announcement was made, O’Connell filed her papers and announced her run for Mayor of Taunton.
Baker didn’t want to give voters a choice. He wanted to make a back-room deal so that one of his GOP friends could quietly try to steal the seat.
#2. Secretly raising money for Trump
What did Baker have to say about a second term of Trump? “I don’t want to get involved.”
But he’s been involved. He fails to stand up to his GOP colleagues, and he’s raised money hand over fist for the RNC and RGA.
The cash raised by Baker helps fund radical, right-wing candidates nationwide--including Trump.
#3. Abandoning our public transit system
It’s no secret that our public transit system is crumbling. We’ve lost count of the derailments, fires, and floods that have plagued the MBTA.
None of this seems to matter to Baker, who agrees that the service his administration has provided is "unacceptable" and thought our pleas for him to take the T would be satisfied with a 5 minute, off-peak ride on the Red Line with some press.
Charlie just doesn't seem to care about the people who rely on public transportation.
